Middle School

In a rich, challenging, and nurturing environment, Meadowbrook Middle School students are offered a rigorous academic program in which they are provided avenues for artistic expression, athletic involvement, and social growth.  Within a supportive environment built upon respect and trust, we provide individual attention, recognize differing abilities, and teach to the whole person.  Each young person has diverse developmental and social requirements during adolescence, and the program is designed to provide an atmosphere conducive to unhampered learning.  Our teachers are committed to helping students challenge themselves to grow academically and to gain the skills they will need to succeed not only in demanding high school programs but also as citizens of the world.

Each class’s ability to work as a team grows through the contributions the class makes inside and outside the school community. From service learning opportunities provided locally to the 8th grade cultural exchange in Costa Rica, Meadowbrook students are encouraged to look beyond the horizon.

The heart of a strong middle school is the relationship between students and their teachers.  Each of our students has an advisor who serves as a mentor and as the primary liaison between home and school.  The advisory group is a locus for discussions of issues of importance to emerging adolescents.  We hold each middle school student to the highest of standards academically, artistically, athletically, and ethically.

A graduating Meadowbrook Middle School student is a self-assured, talented individual, a critical thinker with strong communication skills, a personally motivated scholar with an appreciation for service and kindness, and someone in whom we feel confident entrusting the future of our world.
