Core Purpose and Values for Creating Community:

  • Provide an intimate welcoming atmosphere fostering a close interchange among all constituencies.

  • Expect parents to make a strong commitment to their child's education, Meadowbrook's mission and the life of the School.
  • Promote and support a School community based on respect, trust, inclusion and life-long learning.

The Meadowbrook School Statement of Inclusion

In keeping with Meadowbrook's mission to be a school with high academic, ethical and social standards, we strive to include students, parents and faculty/staff from a variety of backgrounds and to educate students about their increasingly diverse world.

An inclusive school consists of a community in which each member finds others similar enough to feel connected, comfortable and respected, and celebrates that which is unique in each of us. At Meadowbrook, inclusiveness encompasses, but is not limited by, class and economic differences, ethnicity, family structure, gender, physical attributes, race, religion, and sexual orientation.

This Statement of Inclusion reflects the ideals espoused in the core value, we the people. By embracing this principle, we affirm the following goals:

  • To treat each member of our community with dignity
  • To respect not only diversity of appearance but that of opinions, beliefs and practices, and ideas
  • To reflect and honor the history and backgrounds that we represent as individuals within an inclusive school family
