Every year, the strength of Meadowbrook's mathematics program is showcased with MathCounts, a national math enrichment program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement.
The popularity and success of our MathCounts team speaks to the excitement and enthusiasm around the mathematics and problem-solving skills that are embedded in the Meadowbrook culture. Moreover, it provides our students a different type of academic opportunity?to confidently showcase their academic skills in a competitive forum. The challenges they face are both individual and team, tackling complex mathematics problems in pattern recognition, number theory, geometry, and more!
Comprised of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students, the MathCounts team meets year-round as an academic elective and begins competing mid-year against other schools across Massachusetts. Meadowbrook is an annual competitive performer and won the Massachusetts State Championship in 2006.
