How to Apply

We look forward to getting to know you and your family and encourage you to e-mail or call us at any time with questions.

Members of the Meadowbrook Admissions Committee evaluate all components of a student's record thoroughly and thoughtfully. Meadowbrook cherishes its reputation as a family school, meaning that we encourage multiple siblings to apply, but our goal at all times is to keep the interests of the students in mind and ensure that Meadowbrook is the best match in terms of learning style, gender balance and diversity. We value an open, transparent policy with all of our families.

Guidelines for Lower School Admissions

JK & SK

  • Junior Kindergarten (JK) children should be four years old and those entering Senior Kindergarten (SK) should be five years old by September 1st of their entry year.
  • The first step to apply for admissions is to submit the online inquiry form. Once you submit the form, you will be contacted by the school to set up a parent tour and an interview.
  • Each applicant is invited to two evaluations. One is a 45 -minute to one-hour one-on-one screening, and the other is a one-hour group screening to assess their developmental skills. All candidates must complete both screenings.
  • Group screenings are conducted by a faculty member with eight to ten other students in the child's age group. The session provides the candidates with an opportunity to interact with peers, listen to a story, and have some individual time with our faculty. The session lasts for about one hour. Refreshments are available for the applicants' parents during that time, and current Meadowbrook parents are on hand to answer any questions you may have.
  • Teacher recommendations and school progress reports are required by January 15, 2018. These should be uploaded directly from the teacher to the Ravena Admissions Parent Portal. The forms will be found in the Parent Portal once you begin the application process.
  • You can check the progress of your child's application by visiting the Ravenna Admissions Parent Portal. Click here to access the portal.
