In addition to participating in a different theater production each year, middle school Students may also elect to take specific classes in acting techniques. Improvisation is one such course, where students learn to take a basic situation or structure and create their own performances on the spot. Scene study is another alternative, where time is spent rehearsing, performing, and discussing scenes as a way to improve performance abilities.
