Libraries are more important than ever in the Information Age, and the services they provide their communities are changing and expanding. At Meadowbrook, our library is both a dedicated learning space and a collaborative teaching program throughout the school.

At Meadowbrook, we work hard to ensure every student can see themselves on the shelves of our library. Our librarians curate our collection to both reflect the diversity of our students, and provide a window to the wonders of the world outside our walls.
As teachers/librarians, we help students ignite a lifetime love of reading, build critical thinking and research skills, and develop the literacy and information literacy skills they will need in the years to come.
In Library class, our students in Junior Kindergarten through second grade explore the amazing world of literature, learning about authors and illustrators, fiction and non-fiction, and learning to independently navigate the library. In grades 3 through 5, our Library/ Technology curriculum helps students use technology to find, assess, and share information in new and innovative ways.
In grades 6 through 8, we partner with classroom teachers to help students find, assess, and share information ethically and accurately. The library is also open to Middle Schoolers for recess, providing a quiet space for games, reading, and conversation.
