At graduation each year, we celebrate the students who joined Meadowbrook in Junior or Senior Kindergarten and attended the school through 8th grade. 🎓 These students earn the distinct title of "praeclare tempore," a Latin phrase representing the idea of excellence in time.

WCVB recently highlighted Meadowbrook's success in the national America 250 contest, which challenged students to reflect on the question, "What does America mean to you?"
Four Meadowbrook students earned national recognition: Ella, Eden, and Ben received first-place honors, while Harper earned a second-place award. We're incredibly proud of these students for sharing thoughtful reflections and representing Meadowbrook so well on a national stage.
Thank you to history teacher Chaitali Thakar for encouraging students to participate in this national contest and share their unique perspectives.

Before we closed out the school year today, our community came together to celebrate our fifth graders at our Lower School Closing Celebration! 🎊 These soon-to-be middle schoolers were honored with certificates for the completion of their time in the Lower School, and they passed the torch to our fourth graders as they prepare to lead the way in the fall. ✏️
We are so proud of everything these students have accomplished during their time in the Lower School, and we can’t wait to continue the celebration with our 8th Grade Graduation tomorrow. 🧑🎓

Our students had a fantastic Field Day this morning to celebrate the final Friday of the 2025-26 school year! 😎 Our whole school came together for some fun in the sun, including competitive chariot races, games of dodgeball and volleyball, relay races, tug of war, and even some slip ‘n slide action to cool off. 🌊

We had a wonderful time this morning at our Senior Kindergarten End-of-Year Celebration, where our students showed their grown-ups some of the amazing work they’ve been doing in class and performed a song for everyone in attendance. 🎉💐 We are so proud of these incredible students as they get ready for the jump to first grade!

💭💡Fifth Grade Curiosity Projects💡💭 This morning, our students showed off all of the research and creativity they've been working on in their Library/Tech class this year through presentations to their families and classmates.
We loved seeing the wide variety of topics they explored, including a timeline of the universe and the Big Bang theory, LEGO building, superbugs, the most influential chocolate chip cookie, and more. It's hard to believe these students will be middle schoolers in just one week!
Our third, fifth, and sixth graders spent time with a special visitor today: the robot dog Spot! 🐶 Mukul from Boston Dynamics brought Spot to campus for a presentation centered around STEM, robotics, engineering, and coding, and students got the chance to see Spot in action and touch the robot after it powered down.

Our sixth graders took part in an in-house Model United Nations simulation today, focusing on the issue of access to clean water as they showcased their research, writing, and public speaking skills. 🏛️
The students assumed the role of delegates to the United Nations, representing 22 countries in a conference chaired by the United Nations Association of Greater Boston.
What a special evening celebrating our Class of 2022! 🫎 These alumni returned to campus on Sunday for their Class of 2022 Reunion as many of them prepare to head off to college in the fall.
We are incredibly proud of this group, and can't wait to honor a new set of Meadowbrook graduates from the Class of 2026 in just a few weeks. 🎓

Our first graders did a phenomenal job presenting their annual Country Study this morning, showcasing research and reflections about their selected countries! 🌎 The students shared the reason why they selected their country, interesting facts they learned through their research, and even showed off how you would say hello and goodbye in each country. 👋

Over the first weekend of May, a group of our 8th graders and faculty made a movie in just 48 hours as part of the Boston 48 Hour Film Project! 🎥🍿 Moose Films produced the movie “Don’t Spill The Beans,” marking 20 years of participation in the annual film festival. It premiered on the big screen at the Somerville Theatre this week, and featured a variety of film requirements including: Genre (Food), Character (Reneé Pretti,a volunteer), Prop (a map), and Line of Dialogue (“What does the sign say?”).

Last week was Faculty Appreciation Week at Meadowbrook! 💙 We felt the love around campus as our Faculty Friends Committee organized all sorts of ways to say thank you to Meadowbrook’s superheroes. Our faculty enjoyed goodie bags as they arrived to campus on Monday, a variety of treats in our Faculty Lounge to keep them fueled throughout the week, a coffee cart on Wednesday, and seated massages on Friday!
After a week of hard work and collaboration, our fourth graders won the World Peace Game today! 🌎 Jumping into roles across countries, agencies, innovation teams, and more, our students came together to explore and solve more than 20 economic, social, and environmental crises in a fun, hands-on simulation. Wrapping up their annual trip to Gettysburg and Washington, D.C., our 7th graders spent the last few days in our nation’s capital meeting with two United States senators, Sen. Jack Reed from Rhode Island and Sen. Ruben Gallego from Arizona, and visiting monuments exploring American history ahead of their return to campus today!

🫶 Meadowbrook Day of Service 2026 🫶
Thank you to the 225 Meadowbrook family members, alumni, faculty, and friends who generously took part in nearly 400 combined hours of community service for 12 community partner organizations this past Saturday!
Whether they were creating and decorating care packages, prepping gardens, tending to trails around the state, or donating a wide variety of supplies, our volunteers came together to make a big difference in our local communities. 💙
Our students in junior kindergarten, senior kindergarten, and grades 1 and 2 enjoyed a special visit from children’s book author @[Carrie Finison](urn:li:person:kYSGDZDNMp) yesterday.
Carrie dove into the details of some of her stories like Dozens of Doughnuts and Pigs Dig a Road, and explored common threads in her writing like rhymes, repetition, and words that are fun to repeat out loud.
Thank you to @[Kathryn Boger, Ph.D., ABPP](urn:li:person:raMQiEFwa6), a Meadowbrook parent and the Chief Clinical Officer and Co-Founder at @[InStride Health](urn:li:organization:80333229), for continuing our yearlong conversations around the State of the Student this morning with her talk on anxiety in children and how parents can help.
Dr. Boger shared practical tools and strategies for parents to better support their children, serving as another great opportunity to help kids build healthy coping skills and get more reps in.
The Multicultural Teaching Institute is returning to Meadowbrook June 16-18, 2026! This hands-on, collaborative conference will provide real-world tools for educators across grades pre-K through 12, exploring how to enrich classrooms while expanding the ability to critically evaluate classroom practices. We’re proud to share a recent collaboration with the Weston Fire Department! With the expertise of faculty member @[Dan Riles](urn:li:person:iS_gEo2vEl) and student James, they designed and fabricated a custom storage solution for their new fire truck.
Using the Computer Numerical Control machine in the Stansky Family Makerspace, they successfully created an innovative solution that saved the town over $10,000.
It’s inspiring to see our students and faculty using technology to make a meaningful impact in our community!

Last week at Meadowbrook, we had the pleasure of welcoming back members of the Class of 2019 and 2020 for our "After the Middle School: Alumni Perspectives" event. It was inspiring to hear how their experiences here have shaped their success in high school, college, and beyond.
This gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the long-term impact of a Meadowbrook education and to ask our alumni about their journeys ahead. We are so proud of their achievements and grateful for the chance to support our students even after they leave campus.
